I’ve been in and out of south New Jersey since the time that I came here in the US because some of my first friends live there. For the longest years that I’ve visited their town, the usual places that my friends take me are Jersey Shore, Seaside and Six Flags Great Adventure. Basically, we just alternate these places for us (or me) not to get satiated with everything. Because there are only few places that we can visit I suddenly stopped going there; unless there are very important occasions, I don’t mind hopping on the bus and take the one and half ride from the city. So please don’t judge me. I still love my friends.
But this year is a whole lot different story. The boyfriend lives there and so I started to hit the town once in a while depending on what the boyfriend and I agreed upon. Besides, it’s a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The first time he invited me to go there for a visit he brought me somewhere I’ve never been before – The Double Trouble State Park. I remember how I was stunned to look at the almost lifeless trees to accommodate the winter season, the slow-flowing creek, and the path that we walked through all covered in a thick blanket of white. So when he asked me the other weekend to go there again and visit, I did not hesitate to say yes.
